Our Capabilities
Wilshire Precision’s Complete Motor Division began building development motors for critical, high-reliability aerospace applications in 2004. Since that time, we have gone into production on a number of motors for Honeywell and Moog. Our focus going forward is to expand our production lines, and to use our nearly seventy years of manufacturing knowledge and expertise to provide complete and reliable motor building solutions for the aerospace industry.
Nearly 70 Years of Precision Machining Excellence

The Wilshire Precision Story
Wilshire Precision traces its roots to 1951, when Harold Lewis started a small machine shop on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. Like most Southern California precision machine shops in the 1950’s, Wilshire offered its services to the burgeoning local aerospace industry. It was during these early years that Wilshire Precision established a reputation for uncompromising quality and outstanding customer service that is at the foundation of our success today.

What's New at Wilshire Precision

New Assembly Room and Motor-Building Cells
June 09, 2009
Wilshire Precision has completed a new, 2,500-square-foot assembly room with motor-building cells. This climate-controlled, clean facility has the capacity to handle assembly tasks for our different electric motor building programs simultaneously – each with its own, custom-fitted assembly cell. Currently, Wilshire Precision is building and assembling electric motors for their existing customers.
We are proud to offer our customers this new, state-of-the-art facility designed specifically for building high-tech, precision electric aerospace motors. We invite you to tour our new assembly room and find out more about what Wilshire Precision can do for you.

Wilshire Precision Completes New Motors
June 09, 2009
We are pleased to announce that Wilshire Precision has completed the fabrication and assembly of a complete motor and power drive unit for an ongoing military aircraft program for Moog. These eight units were thoroughly tested at the Moog facility in Torrance, California, and passed with flying colors. Seven additional units are currently being built at Wilshire Precision, with many more expected to follow.
Our success with these motors is just the latest milestone in our ongoing program to become a world-class motor building company, offering design consultation as well as fabrication and assembly services. Please contact Wilshire Precision for more information.
